MEET OUR TEAM

JAMES GIDDENS Owner and President

James Giddens is Owner and President of Giddens Homes. He has been in the home building business since graduating from Texas A&M in 1982 and began his career working for a Central Texas area homebuilder and went on to start Buffington Homes. He also previously worked for Lennar Homes where he started the Austin operations and eventually took over the San Antonio operations overseeing the building of 2500+ homes per year. Having gained this industry experience, James found his passion was deeply rooted in the semi-custom home build. As a custom homebuilder, he could spend time getting to know the home buyer and their vision for a dream home, helping manage the home building process to deliver a uniquely customized home. It is with this mission in mind that he founded Giddens Homes in 2011 and grew the company into the number one custom homebuilder in Central Texas.

MASON GIDDENS Co-Owner and Chief Financial Officer

Mason Giddens is Co-Owner and Chief Financial Officer of Giddens Homes. He attended the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance, and a master's degree in accounting. After graduating, Mason worked for the accounting firm Rothstein Kass (now part of KPMG) as lead contact on several real estate fund audits, and he obtained his Texas CPA license. In 2012, he took the opportunity to work with his family and joined Giddens Homes as CFO and Vice President. Now as a co-owner, Mason works with buyers during the closing process along with supporting his main duties as CFO.

ELLEN GIDDENS Co-Owner and Vice President of Sales Administration

Ellen Giddens is Co‐Owner and Vice President of Sales for Giddens Homes. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2015 with a degree in Fisheries Biology. While pursuing her undergraduate degree at A&M, Ellen worked for Giddens Homes hosting open houses on weekends. A year after graduating Ellen took the opportunity to work with family and joined Giddens Homes. Over the years, her responsibilities have grown, now overseeing the sales and accounts payable departments. Ellen graduated with her MBA from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in May of 2022 while working for Giddens Homes. She continues to work closely with James Giddens to learn and grow her role in the operation of Giddens Homes.

LARA HARRIS Director of Marketing

Lara Harris is the Director of Marketing for Giddens Homes and has been with the company since 2015. She began her journey in the homebuilding industry after purchasing her home from Giddens Homes. Enamored by their process, their appreciation for luxury, and keeping the customer’s values in mind, she wanted to be a part of this amazing team. Recently moving back to her home state of Texas, Lara is an experienced advertising and marketing executive having previously served as senior vice president of cable and broadcast at BPG, among other Los Angeles based entertaiment advertising agencies. Beginning as a sales associate in model homes, Lara provided management with insight and guidance on advertising and marketing strategies and was quickly promoted to head up marketing for Giddens Homes.
